When Do Nice Guys Finish First?

Baby on beach holding up first saying, I win.

Spirit-filled kindness is evidence of one’s resistance against his / her own carnal nature that, if unchecked, would emerge as selfishness, bitterness, or any else that could be most undesirable.

With the help of the Holy Spirit, we would all have the hope to be so kind that we achieve victory over our contemptible ways.  And then, through us, God would be glorified for His power over the corruption that would otherwise consume the heart of every man.

The merciful man does himself good, But the cruel man does himself harm.
– Proverbs 11:17 (NASB)

Be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving each other,
just as God in Christ also has forgiven you.

– Ephesians 4:32 (NASB)
